A bunch of Virginia Beach folks –Katie, Kristie, Sara, Sheila and me — are sitting in the Express Yourself session right now, watching the presenter struggle with the wireless connection.  We are learning how to make still and animated avatars, inserting faces into silly pictures, and creating talking animations using online tools. Some of it is kind of cute. Interesting that the presenter is talking about using some of this with kindergarteners and first graders, but properly supervised, it could work.

Ask Sheila later about what she asked the presenter about using some of these tools with elementary kids :-).
